Parvo B19 PCR Kit

The Parvo B19 PCR Kit constitutes a ready-to-use system for the detection of Parvovirus B19 DNA using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) in the ABI PRISM® 7000, 7700 and 7900HT Sequence Detection System (Applied Biosystems). The Parvo B19 RG/TM Master contains reagents and enzymes for the specific amplification of a 76 bp region of the Parvovirus B19 genome. The amplicon is detected by measuring the FAM fluorescence in the ABI PRISM® SDS. In addition, the Parvo B19 PCR Kit contains a second heterologous amplification system to identify possible PCR inhibition. This is detected as an Internal Control (IC) by measuring the VIC fluorescence. External positive controls (Parvo B19 RG/TM QS 1 - 5) are supplied which allow the determination of the pathogen load.
